Smoke Origami Peace Crane Hair Stick
The Japanese paper used for this origami peace crane is a smokey grey color. It has gold flecks and gold embossing along with a black abstract kanji writing on it. It comes in a plastic box with gold foil bottom. The bottom of the box is signed by the artist with a red Japanese stamp.
This Hair Stick has a handmade everlasting Japanese paper origami peace crane. It is attached to a hardwood hair stick of about 6 inches in length. It can hold the hair up in a bun, or can be put into a hairdo. The hand folded paper crane hangs about 2 inches and is attached with matching glass beads. The beads on your hairstick may be different than shown in the picture above, since we make each and every one of these hairsticks by hand.

How are they Made? We begin with large pieces of screen printed Japanese papers. We measure and cut the pieces into squares for folding. We fold several hundred peace cranes using the traditional origami pattern. The paper cranes are pierced and have a silver plated loop attached. The folded paper peace cranes are then massaged in a wet plastic jewelry epoxy and hung to dry for 24 hours. The delicate paper peace cranes have now transformed into a solid plastic.
The everlasting origami peace cranes used in necklace pendants, earrings, and hair sticks are about an inch and a half across. Earrings are about 2 inches long and necklaces are about 18 inches long. If you have a special request for a different length, please let us know and we will do our best to make a special item just for you.
