Red Leaves Origami Peace Crane Necklace
These Necklaces feature a handmade everlasting Japanese paper origami peace crane. They are attached to an 18 inch black satin cord necklace with a silver plated hook and eye clasp. The pendant hangs about 2.5 inches below the necklace. The pendant has matching glass beads. The beads shown may differ from the beads on your specific necklace, since we make each and every necklace by hand.

How are they Made? We begin with large pieces of screen printed Japanese papers. We measure and cut the pieces into squares for folding. We fold several hundred peace cranes using the traditional origami pattern. The paper cranes are pierced and have a silver plated loop attached. The folded paper peace cranes are then massaged in a wet plastic jewelry epoxy and hung to dry for 24 hours. The delicate paper peace cranes have now transformed into a solid plastic.
The everlasting origami peace cranes used in necklace pendants, earrings, and hair sticks are about an inch and a half across. Earrings are about 2 inches long and necklaces are about 18 inches long. If you have a special request for a different length, please let us know and we will do our best to make a special item just for you.
